BAUER lever couplings
BAUER lever couplings – general information
BAUER lever couplings were invented in Austria, but today, they are used all over the world. Their unique feature is a lever locking ring and hooks on a ball-shaped male part. Made in zinc-plated steel (NR/SBR rubber seal). Nominal coupling sizes: 50, 76, 89, 108, 133, 159 and 194 mm. Advantages of the couplings include: easy, one-hand connection (even in the dark), robust, durable construction, performance not affected by dirt. Intended for water and all kinds of liquid and bulk media. Working pressure 12 bar (up to size 89 mm – 20 bar), vacuum resistant. They allow some angular deflection between the parts while connecting (30° for sizes up to 108 mm, 20° for larger sizes). The range includes couplings with hose tails, with male thread, with flanges or weld-in connections, blank caps, but also straight pipes with couplings, elbows and tees. Applications of BAUER couplings:
- mining, road and tunnel construction – for water and air,
- temporary and emergency systems of potable water, industrial water and waste water,
- agriculture (irrigation, sprinkling systems, sprinklers),
- sewage transport, loading and unloading (sewage tankers and systems),
- dry and wet bulk material transport (powders, granules, plaster, bentonite, etc.),
- dust and exhaust gas systems,
- onshore and offshore drilling, for crude oil and drill cuttings,
- food and chemical industry.
